My story started in 2015, when the question was: why do people get so sick? Could the answer be as simple as that we are what we eat? I believed it.
At the time, my husband and I were living outside of Latvia and organic food was becoming available in shops quite rapidly. We were fans and bought apples, cucumbers, kale, mangoes and everything else on offer. It was there that the idea of an organic farm came to me and it never left me. In 2016, I obtained the Organic Farming Certificate. I rented the land from my mother-in-law because no one in my extended family was interested in farming. With a small greenhouse and a backyard garden, I started farming. Then my son joined me and fell in love with bees and now we look after more than 20 colonies, and soon he came back from working abroad and now we farm together.
We are organic lovers, convinced that we are preserving nature, taking care of our health and the health of our fellow human beings and, in general, we are saving the world!
For many years we have been members of the "Direct Purchase" group in Cesis, where we deliver our produce every week. There are also families who come to the farm to buy produce, so if you too would like clean and tasty vegetables or roots, or fruit and berries fresh from the garden, or freshly buttered honey with a chance to taste it, you will be very welcome at the farm!
